This is a stable release of MaraDNS; this is an update from MaraDNS 1.2, and includes a number of new features, most notably BIND zone file support. I have just uploaded this release to the Sourceforge download page, and encourage people to download and use this release. I no longer support MaraDNS 1.0 for anything except critical security bugs. MaraDNS 1.2 will be supported for critical bug fixes until the end of 2010. Also MaraDNS 1.0 support, including security fixes, will be dropped at the end of 2010. I have no plans to support MaraDNS 1.2 after 2010; by then MaraDNS 2.0 will hopefully be released (It's one of my 2008 New Year's resolutions). One quick question, do I need to uninstall the 1.2.xx version first? Just a follow-up to a previous post of mine. Was going to take another look at using maradns as a resolver/cache in place of dnscache but from the docs it doesn't look there has been any change in the above missing feature. Or am I missing something? Thank you, -- Chris
